New Hampshire native Olin Johannessen is a multi-instrumentalist whose EP “Ten Years,” was released March 2021.

Tapping into personal and musical friendships spanning decades, this project includes collaborators spanning North America, as close as NH, and as far as Chicago, and Los Angeles.

Olin is excited to branch out into the world of performing more, and is also available for consultation within the fields of music education, choral directing, composing, arranging, modern band, ear training, sight singing, piano, percussion, guitar, and voice.

Olin holds degrees from the University of Massachusetts Amherst; a Masters in Composition, and a Bachelors in Percussion Performance. For the past three years he has served as Director of Digital Content and Associate for Music at St. John’s Episcopal Church, Portsmouth NH. Prior to joining the St. John’s staff he served ten years as Grades 6-12 Choral Director for the Portsmouth Public School Department where his choirs consistently earned high ratings at invitational and state adjudicated festivals. Prior to his appointment in Portsmouth, Olin worked as Assistant Director of Education for the Vic Firth Company, as well as Assistant Percussion Director for the award-winning Percussion Ensemble and Marching Band of King Philip Regional High School in Wrentham, MA. He is equally comfortable in front of both vocal and instrumental ensembles.
