TEN YEARS

This 6 song EP marked the culmination of 10 years of my work as a public school music teacher. This is work that I loved deeply, and that had taken its toll on me… Having stepped away from that life, I am able to look back and notice the good, properly sort and respect that which was challenging, and in general just have appreciation for that phase of my professional life.

For me, the creation of this record served as an outward expression of a personal awakening of sorts as I began to find expression and meaning through songwriting.

I found it wonderfully fulfilling to give voice to some of the big feelings and moments I’ve experienced over the course of the last several years. I am incredibly proud of my songs, and feel inspired at the realization that I’ve only just begun to tap what’s inside of me, both lyrically and musically.
